Initiated in April 2024, the development of a client-independent mobile application ensures cost-efficiency and adaptability. The app's codebase can be easily customized for various customers.
Overcoming Challenges
Combinvest leadership envisioned a mobile application to help clients manage their insurance contracts. The app was designed to resolve common issues like lost documents, forgotten expiration dates, and misunderstood policy statements.
Competing apps at the time were tied to specific insurance providers or products, forcing clients with multiple policies to use several apps. This allowed competitors to access Combinvest’s clients. The goal was to fully engage and retain clients within Combinvest’s services.
Solution Implemented
The proposed solution was to enable users to view all their insurance contracts, including those not brokered by Combinvest, requiring the development of an API and a back-end system, leading to the inception of Catalyst CRM.
With the release of Catalyst CRM in 2018, the leadership proceeded with the mobile app, adding extensive functionality beyond just viewing contracts. The initial Community App, launched in July 2021 using the Ionic framework, was later rewritten with Flutter in 2023, with the first release of the new app in February 2024. This app included features like 'Dashboard,' 'Contracts,' 'Benefits,' 'Service Package,' and 'Tax Return' to ensure constant user engagement.
